Positioning myself for sunrise I wait to the morning light to pick up more of this steam with the City of Denver in the background from just west of downtown

By being low to the ground the footprints leading towards the building became my central focus to place the viewer in the scene itself and lead them towards the decorated City and County Building

One winter while in Juneau on a cold weekend I headed out to the glacier and joined the many of others who were walking across Mendenhall Lake towards the glacier

This is due to the ever changing effects of the water on the structure as you can see in this image

Sunset through Coit Tower Size:18"x24" Positioning myself for sunrise ISometimes photography is about being at the right place at the right time, which can occur either by planning ahead or luck. For this image it was luck. I was walking along the Embarcadero when I noticed the setting sun starting to go behind Coit Tower. Up ahead I then spotted the shadow of this scene and positioned myself so the rays of the sun were coming through the arches of the tower on Telegraph Hill.
