Keum Boo Black and Gold Earrings penguin mother/daughter ringThese silver and gold earrings are handmade all the way down to the lengthy ear wires. Although large and bold, they are still leightweight and comfortable. I hand cut and textured the discs from fine silver metal clay, then kiln fired them after refining. After tumbling clean, I cut, filed, and shaped the ear wires. After cleaning up the metal and work hardening it, it was time to apply 24k gold using an ancient Korean gilding technique called Keum
